Every year I want to make a gingerbread house with the kids. Every year I don't because the kits are all contaminated for our allergies, (peanuts, walnuts and pecans) and I can't find an easy to understand recipe to make the walls myself.
Can you help me with information?
I was thinking about doing this over the weekend and bought some dark molasses...
ReplyDeletewaiting to see if any recipes turn up here.
I wish I could help. This was the first one we've ever done, and it was a kit I bought at Costco. I know lots of other folks use graham crackers. Would those work for you?

I forget what your food issues are :)
You can totally do this-there are a ton of recipes-there is even a set of cookie cutters to make the shape. I like to do big rectangles and then just make an A frame shaped house-super cute. Want to get together and do it with the kids?
