it Matters
the extra voice at the table
the couch with an extra blanket and a curled up lap
more shoes at the entrance
living on "Grandma rules," which she never abuses
and the children have yet to figure out
despite the pounds of licorice
the layers of the generations
the connection
the tether
not my mother, but one of my children's
it is a privilege
to have her here
Some of my most favorite moments is watching my children interact with their grandparents/great aunts/etc. Often times when then are with my mother, my memories of how my mom was with us floods through. I think its utterly amazing that there are other people who love and adore my children as much as I do! Not only are you cherishing these moments...but your children will also!!!
